Reality Check! Test 1.2.3.

Desire is a dangerous thought to be felt. Previously I had posted that I would be working towards a Roland TR-1000.
Well that did not end up being the case as when I attempted to make the purchase I had to be put on a months long waiting list with an audio retailer. My desire to purchase that machine led to another serious reality check; the fact that it was $3,000.00. That price tag was not something I was in a position to actually afford.
This desire to have an instrument at my finger tips and plugged into my DAW led to my discovery of Elektron's line of products. Since these products have existed for sometime I was able to find used sales for prices I could afford.
Purchasing both of these devices was still only half the cost of what that TR-1000 costs.

I'm taking my time mastering the Syntakt first. I'm very pleased with the percussive and synth sounds that this allows me to play Live.
The Digitakt 2 will be a wonderful way to customize any Live set with custom samples loaded from my DAWs.

Now time to work and pay off this cost of creativity!
